About College
Established in 1995, Vinayaka Mission’s Homoeopathic Medical College is a private institution in Salem. With an annual intake of 100 seats, the college is associated with Vinayaka Mission’s University, Salem, which is situated in Tamil Nadu.
Under the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, the college began offering undergraduate education and holistic patient care. However, in 2001, it established itself as a Deemed institution under the Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem (declared under Sec. 3 of the UGC Act, 1956). This made it the first college in South India to offer postgraduate programs in all seven specialties of homoeopathy, as well as undergraduate approval for up to 100 students per academic year beginning in 2002. Since 2011, the college has served as a research hub for the Doctor of Homoeopathy (Ph.D.).
About Hospital
The NAAC-accredited Homoeopathic Medical College at Vinayaka Mission serves as a hub for student education, patient care, and clinical homoeopathic research. In addition to the City Health Center and Peripheral Health Centers, the hospital offers in-patient and out-patient care to support the health of the community while also offering scientific research in homoeopathy and disciplined academic education. Additionally, it makes its locations available for programs on organ donation and transplantation, personality development, health awareness, and basic life support.
The hospital offers outpatient services in the following areas: general emergency, pediatric, psychiatric, surgical, and OBG. Initial assessment with history, vitals, pertinent diagnostic investigations, first treatment, and frequent evaluation are the elements of a care plan.
