About College
The non-profit, non-minority Sri Sairam Homeopathic Medical College & Research Centre in Chennai was founded in 2001 by MJF. Ln. Leo Muthu, Chairman of Sapthagiri Educational Trust. The College operates out of its permanent Sai Leo Nagar building. 200-acre sprawling campus close to the popular tourist destination “Kishkinta” The college building was constructed and planned in accordance with CCH guidelines.
Sri Sai Ram Homoeopathy Medical College has developed into a reputable medical facility that offers instruction in accordance with worldwide standards and cultivates a sense of service among its younger student body. Our college is pleased with its infrastructure and its committed faculty. The college is associated with Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, and holds an ISO 9001: 2015 certification. Additionally, it has been accepted by “AYUSH” for the Indian system of medicine and homeopathy in New Delhi and acknowledged by the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH), New Delhi.
Library: The 4000 square foot library has a reference area, a magazine section, and a stack area. It currently has around 6000 books and reference volumes stacked for faculty and student loans.
Hostel: A 20529 square meter home away from home with separate accommodations for males and girls, housing 276 female students and 581 boy students.Positive learning is stimulated by the cool, green, pleasant, and eco-friendly atmosphere provided by the beautifully constructed buildings and the surrounding area. It offers a vibrant atmosphere that promotes positive student engagement.
Courses Offered: BHMS is a five and a half year degree program that includes homoeopathic studies as well as basic medical science courses that are “in par with the main stream medicine or ALLOPATHY.” The five and a half years of study for this course also include a year of CRRI (internship).
