In Satara, famous educationist Hon. Mr. Arvind Gavali founded Sawkar Homoeopathic Medical College, Samarth Educational Trust in 1988. Samarth Educational Trust was founded with the primary goal of providing professional education to kids living in rural areas. at 1988, he founded the Homoeopathic Medical College at Adalatwada, a significant location in Satara, to fulfill his objectives.
Homoeopathic courses began with a Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (D.H.M.S. ), and then a Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery study that was connected to Shivaji University in Kolhapur. Since 1998, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, has been associated with the B.H.M.S. programme.
Sawkar Homoeopathic Medical College is located in extra M.I.D.C. Satara, surrounded by natural greenery. The campus spans two acres of land. The college has 50,000 square feet of built-up area. Along with the college building, there is a 25-bed Samarth Hospital, a 100-person women’s hostel, a canteen, and other amenities on the campus.
The Sawkar Homoeopathic Medical College building has several well-equipped labs, conference rooms, lecture halls, libraries, and other spaces.
Samarth Hospital has 25 beds and is well-equipped. Hospital employees with extensive training are on duty around-the-clock. All kinds of crises and medical and surgical issues are managed effectively and affordably.
