A private college called Rajputana Unani Tibbi College was founded in Jaipur in 1980. With an annual intake of 50 seats, the college is associated with Rajasthan Ayurved University, headquartered in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
An undergraduate medical degree in the discipline of unani medicine and surgery is called a bachelor of unani medicine and surgery, or B.U.M.S. Since the Unani (Perso-Arabic) system was developed by the Greek physicians Hippocrates and Galen, it is known as the “Greek” system in BUMS. The four classical humours of Hippocrates—phlegm (balgham), blood (dam), yellow bile (safra), and black bile (sauda)—are widely associated with BUMS medicine. But Chinese and Indian customs also have an impact on the medical system.In the eleventh century, Arabs and Persians brought the Unani medical system to India. The Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), a statutory authority under the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH), has authorized the BUMS education and training system in India.
A fully furnished Unani Hospital with 100 inpatient beds and five outpatient departments is located in a separate wing.Students can therefore use the facility for their clinical training.Sonography, X-ray, and pathology test capabilities are available at the college hospital. The labor room is prepared for deliveries in every way.
