About College
1980 saw the establishment of Rajasthan Unani Medical College & Hospital by “The Taraqqi Tibbi Society.” The college has been offering instruction for a recognized university’s B.U.M.S. degree program for the past 37 years. It is now associated with the Dr. Sarvepalli Rajasthan Ayurved University in Jodhpur, having formerly been associated with the University of Rajasthan in Jaipur. The State Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur, and the Ayush Government of India, C.C.I.M., New Delhi, both recognize the college.
One kilometer away from the garden is the college’s own herbal garden. The garden spans five acres and contains over two thousand therapeutic plants. Students learn about medicine through plant identification and observation. The institution frequently organizes free medical camps and awareness camps with the assistance of N.G.O.s to give patients who are in need of medical attention and treatment.
The college has central library facilities available. The library contains about 10,000 books. Old Unani classical books are in it. It is run by competent employees.
The College of Unani currently offers a well-equipped hospital with OPD and IPD services. The hospital’s faculty provides specialized outpatient department (OPD) services in many departments. There are currently 60 hospital beds available for Indoor Patient Services. In compliance with CCIM guidelines, OPD services for seven specialties and one dressing room, as well as IPD services for six specialties, have recently begun here with a fully functional laboratory.
