About College
On May 26, 1958, R.B.T.S. Govt. Homoeo. Medical College & Hospital Muzaffarpur was founded on a large plot of ground measuring around five and a half acres. It is located in the center of the city, close to transportation hubs and other essential infrastructure. It is located next to Ramdaylu Nagar Station at the town’s southern entrance.
In Bihar, the college is the sole government homoeopathic medical school. It is associated with the B.R.Ambedkar Bihar University in Muzaffarpur and has received endorsements and recognition from the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi. Students receive a Homoeopathic education from highly trained and experienced faculty members who also provide them with practical and clinical training to prepare them for the difficulties of today’s medical issues. The five and a half years of graduating coursework, which includes a mandatory one-year internship, prepare students to become traditional homoeopathic doctors. Following five and a half years of BHMS, a three-year MD (Hom) program began in the 2017 session.
The college is home to a fully operational hospital with I.P.D. and O.P.D. as well as research facilities. In our hospital, we provide free care to about 90,000 (nine thousand) patients annually.
The Bihar government provides the interns with a regular monthly stipend, just like in other treatment systems for a course lasting five and a half years.
The government of Bihar has kindly and truly made every effort to give this institution with the required infrastructures and facilities, and the government of India has designated this institution as a model college.
