About College
Established on July 19, 1961, the Patna Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital was founded by Drs. Gauri Lall Yadav, Ambika Prasad, and S.C. Roy. The Bihar State Board of Homoeopathic Medicine in Patna recognized the college on July 28, 1962, and with the notification of the Bihar Government in Patna, it was moved to the Bihar University (now known as B.R.A. Bihar University) in Muzaffarpur in 1973. The Batukeshwar Sharma Memorial Jan Kalyan Trust, Patna-27, is in charge of running the college.
The college currently offers a five and a half-year B.H.M.S. (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) program that includes a required internship lasting one year.
The college is housed in a large structure in Ram Krishna Nagar, Sorangpur, Patna-20. It has amenities like an outdoor dispensary, a hospital with 50 beds, a well-stocked library, and labs for anatomy, physiology, pathology, f.m.t., and P.S.M. A museum containing models, dummies, bone sets, anatomical and physiological charts, etc. A distinct dissection room is present.
The college is connected to an indoor hospital featuring 50 beds for general maternity and pediatrics, as well as surgical services.Additionally, the college maintains five outlying clinics located throughout the capital.In rural Masses, the College also organized Medical Relief Camps.Scholarships and free studentships are available to deserving and disadvantaged students.A Governing Body that has been duly formed oversees the College.
