About College
The academic year at the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH), an autonomous institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, is set to begin in 2016–17. It is situated in Mawdiangdiang, Shillong, Meghalaya. Established by the Indian government’s Ministry of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy, the institute offers graduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and research programs in Ayurveda and Homoeopathy. It also serves as a reference hospital and offers high-quality medical care. Currently, the Institute offers undergraduate courses in BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) and BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) at its two colleges of homoeopathy and ayurveda.For the 2020–21 academic year, the Institute will accept 63 applicants for the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) programs. Thirty-one of the sixty-three seats will be allocated to the Northeast States Quota, thirty-one to the All India Quota, and one to foreign nationals. The Ministry of AYUSH will use centralized counseling to fill all of the India Quota seats; the Ministry will notify the public through its website. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations will be used to fill positions held by foreign nationals (ICCR).
