About College
In order to produce competent Unani graduates with a strong scholarship and a solid foundation in Modern Scientific knowledge in accordance with extensive practical training—that is, to become fully qualified Unani physicians, surgeons, and researchers—to serve in the nation’s medical and health services, Nezamia Unani Medical College & Hospital was established in 1985 for students seeking admission to the B.U.M.S. (Kamiil-e-Tibb-o-Jarahat) degree course.
Nezamia Unani Medical College & Hospital, Gaya is approved by C.C.I.M., Department of Ayush, Ministry of Health & F.W., Govt. of India, New Delhi, and is acknowledged by the State Health Department of Bihar. It is also associated with B.R. Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur. With a 40-student capacity, the college is entirely private and is administered by the Nezamia Educational & Welfare Society, Chhatta Masjid, Gaya (Regd. under Societies registration Act 1860).
The college is housed in an exquisite building with 14 well-maintained departments and laboratories, a patholab, a pharmacy, a herbal garden, and a 60-bed hospital with I.P.D., O.P.D., a labor room, X-ray, and ECG in addition to highly skilled, devoted, and experienced staff for both the college and the hospitals. The college is located in the village of Dumri on Patna-Gaya Road, 5.km from Gaya town, in a quiet and hygienic environment (Near Dumri Petrol Pump.)
Hospital
The hospital was founded in 1985 to provide healthcare services and guarantee that people in need would receive care as soon as possible.
The primary departments of medicine, surgery, and gynecology as well as a number of ancillary services are housed in the hospital’s magnificent building.
There are separate rooms for men, women, and semiprivate use, and an indoor bed capacity of sixty. It is professionally run and managed by doctors and nurses who are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and productive.
The hospital features a well-equipped operating room, a pathology lab, and a radiology department with state-of-the-art X-ray machines (U.S.G. and 2-D Echo capabilities) under the direction of senior technicians and competent doctors.
Everyday patient needs are met by a multidisciplinary outpatient department (OPD) that employs consultants in all specialties, including medicine, surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, and dermatology.
