About College
The founding chairman of the Mahatma Gandhi Homoeopathic Medical College in Jabalpur, Shri Rajendra Verma, did so in 2001. The Institute has permanent affiliations with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University and Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya Jabalpur (M.P.) in addition to recognition from the Central Council of Homoeopathy (C.C.H.) and the AYUSH Department (Central government). The M.P. government’s Higher Education NOC and the Medical Education NOC are also present at the Institute. The Madhya Pradesh Society Registration Act, 1973, which established Mahatma Gandhi Homoeopathic Medical College, is the basis for the registration of the Center for Higher Studies and Research for A.A.&H. Education Society. Since 2001, the Institute has offered a Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) undergraduate degree program in homoeopathy. The college can accept up to 100 undergraduate applicants. In the whole Mahakaushal region, this is the only homoeopathic medical college that operates a homoeopathic hospital with 25 beds for inpatients, an outpatient department, and a laboratory for investigative purposes. The college offers a four and a half year B.H.M.S. (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) degree program in addition to a one year required rotating internship. Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University and Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya would have the power to award degrees.
