About College
In memory of the late Dr. B.P. Jawahar, Magadh Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital was founded in Nalanda. Former State Health Minister, Government of Bihar, 1969. The Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi, and the Government of Bihar have sanctioned the college. It is connected to Muzaffarpur’s Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University.
The college can be found at Biharsharif, Nalanda, Bihar, on Station Road. The Patna-Nalanda Main Track train and bus service make it simple to get to the campus. The college is connected to the hospital dispensary.
Library: Books on homoeopathy and related medical matters are abundantly available in the college library. The journals, magazines, newspapers, and periodicals in the library are well-stocked. The college offers lecture halls, seminar halls, sports facilities, conference halls, canteens, well-equipped classrooms, and medical services. Boys’ and girls’ hostel accommodations are separate. The college features state-of-the-art equipment in its well-equipped laboratories.
Courses Offered: The five and a half-year Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) degree program in homoeopathy is offered by Magadh Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Nalanda. The BHMS curriculum will last approximately four and a half years, including an obligatory internship of one year. There are fifty places available for BHMS in total. The college also provides a graded course for external candidates in addition to conventional B.H.M.S. (Graded Degree) courses.
