About College
Founded in 2000, the Laxmiben Homoeopathy Institute & Research Centre is a private college located in Mehsana. With an annual intake of 100 seats, the college is associated with Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, located in Gujarat.
The built-up area of the hospital and college exceeds the Ayush & C.C.H. requirements. It has twelve fully functional U.G. departments, each with a head office, a departmental library, a museum, labs, and demonstration spaces. The classrooms are furnished with an LCD projector, a sound system, and roomy, intelligent seating. The institute has a seminar room with air conditioning.
Offering of courses: The Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) degree program in homoeopathy is now being offered by BHMS University. Full-time, regular, and approved by the Indian government and Central Council of Homoeopathy
The Intermediate/Higher Secondary (10+2) test or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, as well as being 17 years old on or before December 31st of the current year, are the minimum requirements for admission to the BHMS Course.
Course duration: The program lasts for five and a half years in total, including a required one-year rotational internship.
First academic year of B.H.M.S. (1 year)
Second year of B.H.M.S. (1 year) academic
Year 1 of the Third B.H.M.S. Academic year
Final B.H.M.S. Academic Years 1 and 1/2 (1.5 years)
12-month rotatory internship lasting one year.
Teaching Medium: For educational purposes, English, Gujarati, and Hindi will be the only languages used for instruction; however, exams will only be administered in English.
Hospital: The well-equipped 25-bed homoeopathic hospital is managed by LHIRC. There are also labor and surgery facilities accessible. The practitioners of modern medicine serve as instructors and OPD facilitators. The hospital has 24-hour emergency and medical services available. The hospital’s Rehabilitation Department also has access to physiotherapists and yoga instructors. They have excellent credentials in their domains. Pathological labs are furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, including USG and x-ray capabilities.
