Established in 1992, Kalyan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is a private college located in TarnTaran. With a yearly intake of 80 seats, the College is associated with the Punjabi Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, situated in Faridkot.
Facilities:
Library: Books on homoeopathy and related medical matters are abundantly available in the college library. The journals, magazines, newspapers, and periodicals in the library are well-stocked. The college offers lecture halls, seminar halls, sports facilities, conference halls, canteens, well-equipped classrooms, and medical services.
Hostel: Separate accommodations are provided at a hostel for males and girls. Following acceptance into the college, students must submit an application for a room in the hostel using a form that must be paid for. The hostel requires strict adherence to rules. Teaching staff who have been properly authorized to oversee the hostel are on duty to ensure that discipline is upheld at all times.
Courses Offered: The Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), a five and a half-year degree program in homoeopathy, is offered by Kalyan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital. The BHMS curriculum will last approximately four and a half years, including an obligatory internship of one year. There are eighty places available for BHMS in total. The college also provides a graded course for external candidates in addition to conventional B.H.M.S. (Graded Degree) courses.
