About College
Dr. S.N.S. Capore, a renowned homeopathic physician from Bihar, a social worker, and a pioneer of homeopathy in India, founded Kirti Nath Hahnemannian Medical College & Hospital in Bhagalpur on April 10, 1946.
K.N.H Medical College and Hospitals is located in the V.I.P. section of Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation, close to the District Magistrate’s house, in a stately edifice on a compound of roughly 12 acres.
A premier homeopathic institute in the nation with a 72-year teaching and academic record, it offers students every opportunity for a successful professional career by offering a full-time, five-and-a-half-year Bachelor of Homeopathic & Medicine Surgery degree program as well as a one-year required internship in college hospitals.
In 1960, the Bihar State Board of Homeopathic Medicine, Patna, granted the college its initial recognition.The Ministry of Health, Government of India, New Delhi, created the Drug Proving Research Unit at one of the country’s first two colleges.B.R.Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, gave the college permanent affiliation in 1985 for the B.H.M.S. Degree Course and the Graded B.H.M.S. Course.
The Central Council of Homoeopathy (C. C. H.) in New Delhi has approved the college’s B.H.M.S. (Bachelor of Homoeopathy Medicine & Surgery) degree program. The Central Council of Homoeopathy proposed the recognition, and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi, recognized it with a 50 seat intake capacity.
