About College
Hahnemann Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Bhopal was established in the year 1965. It is one of the oldest Homoeopathic Medical College in Madhya Pradesh. It is run by the Hahnemann Educational Society, Bhopal on a self financing basis.
The college is now run in its premises at New Jail By-Pass Road, Karond, Bhopal- 462038 (M.P.), which has well furnished infrastructure with modern building.
Initially, the college offered two years Diploma Course D.H.B (Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine & Biochemistry) which was recognized by State Council of Homoeopathy, Madhya Pradesh. The college started offering an upgraded 4 year course D.H.M.S (Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) in place of D.H.B in the year 1982 recognized by both MP State Government and Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi.
After obtaining due permission from Central Council Homoeopathy, & Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) New Delhi, Medical Education Department and Higher Education Department of Madhya Pradesh Government and affiliation from Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University Jabalpur, the college now offer 5 ½ year course leading to the Degree of B.H.M.S ( Bachelor of Homoeopathy Medicine & Surgery ) awarded by the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur from 2015 – 16.
Annual in-take capacity for first year of BHMS course permitted by various authorities is 100.
The admission are done through the admission counseling by Directorate of Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Madhya Pradesh on the basis of merit list prepared by the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test The merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks secured in the entrance test called NEET The student from all over the country who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and biology subjects from any recognized board/university are eligible for admission to first year of B.H.M.S course.
