Government College Govt. Homeopathic Medical College, Bangalore was founded in 1986. The College is connected to the Karnataka-based Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The college is located on Dr. Siddaiah Puranik Road in Basaveshwaranagar, Bengaluru, and has a 100-bed hospital across the street. The hospital began with 25 beds, which were later increased to 40, and it can now accommodate 100 patients in a newly built building that was opened in 2017 and has all the amenities needed for modern diagnostics, including a fully functional pathology lab, X-ray, ultrasound, yoga, and physical therapy, among other things. These facilities are managed by professionals with extensive qualifications. The IPD sees 40–50 patients per day on average, compared to 350–400 patients per day in the OPD. In addition, the hospital has opened specialty outpatient departments (OPDs) for pediatrics, rheumatology, cancer, lifestyle diseases, and dermatology.
