About College
The Government Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, was founded in 1990–1991 as an autonomous organization under the jurisdiction of the state’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.It is currently under the M.P. government’s Ministry of AYUSH Mantralaya. In the state of Madhya Pradesh, it is the only government college. Barkatullah University and Madhya Pradesh Ayurvigyan University, Jabalpur, are associated with the Institute.
Since 1990–1991 Barkatullah University Bhopal has been offering the BHMS degree programme. At now, Madhya Pradesh Ayurvigyan University Jabalpur is associated with the Bachelor of Homoeopathy and Surgery programs, specifically the B.H.M.S (Direct) program from 2015–16 and the M.D. (Hom) program from 2016–17.Madhya Pradesh Paramedical Council Bhopal has been offering paramedical courses in X-ray technician, yoga, and naturopathy for the past seven years.
The Undergraduate and Postgraduate Wing of the infrastructure consists of office, college, hospital, and auditorium sections. The undergraduate and postgraduate wings have a total build-up area of roughly 25,000 square meters. There are three lecture halls of the stair type A.C. with a seating capacity of roughly 250 apiece.
Hospital: The hospital is equipped with the appropriate sub-departments as mandated by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, as well as an outpatient and inpatient department with 150 beds.
At the AYUSH Campus, next to the Kaliasot dam in M.A.C.T Hills, Bhopal, M.P., the Institute is situated on a 50-acre joint campus for Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, and Unani.
Hostel: On the same campus, a three-story, 250-seat ladies’ hostel is in operation. There is also a homoeopathic pharmacy manufacturing unit on the same campus.
