About College
On April 10, 1929, Dr. Yadubir Sinha Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital was established in Darbhanga. The college is connected to Muzaffarpur’s Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University. The Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH), located in New Delhi, has given it approval. The Dr. Yadubir Sinha Memorial Trust operates the college.
The college’s campus is located in Darbhanga, Bihar’s Bakerganj, Laheriasarai. The campus occupies an area of one acre. The college is housed in a larger, two-story structure with a distinct block for students, faculty, and administration. The campus building is connected to the college’s own hospital.
Facilities: The college has a seminar hall, computer lab, computer lab, canteen, lecture hall, and outdoor and indoor games. The college has a post office and a bank (the Central Bank of India) with an ATM on campus. For ladies and boys, there is a separate hostel with excellent security measures. The college boasts a large library filled with a wide range of books on homoeopathy and related topics (such as anatomy, physiology, pathology, surgery, etc.). In addition to these, Hindi, Bengali, English, and Urdu language versions of magazines, reports, journals, and newspapers are available. Additionally, there is a fully furnished laboratory that has all the amenities of a modern lab.
Courses Offered: Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) is taught at Dr. Yadubir Sinha Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital in Darbhanga. This program lasts for four and a half years, plus an obligatory year-long internship. There will be 50 spots available for the BHMS program each academic year.
