Deoband Dr. Q. Z. Qureshi, the founding manager, founded Unani Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Deoband, in 1991 to accommodate students aspiring to enroll in the B.U.M.S. (Kamiil-e-Tibb-o-Jarahat) degree program. The C.C.I.M. Govt. of India has prescribed this course in accordance with the syllabus.
The Muslim Educational and Social Welfare Association (Regd.) is in charge of overseeing and managing the Deoband Unani Medical College Hospital & Research Center. The Association’s main goal is to become a beacon of hope and self-reliance for the underprivileged, needy, and deserving section of society along with the commitment to provide education and medical facilities. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and has minority community certificates from the Minority Commission, state government of Uttar Pradesh, and minority certificates from the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, government of India.
The Government of India’s C.C.I.M. Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has recognized the Institute. Furthermore, since 2015–16, the institution has been associated with Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut. It has previously been connected to C.S.J.M. University in Kanpur from 1991.
The institution is housed in an elegant building with 14 well-maintained departments and laboratories, a well-equipped pathology lab, museums, lecture theaters, a herbal garden, a pharmacy, and a 150-bed hospital with X-rays, I.P.D.s, O.P.D. labor rooms, and other amenities. The staff for the college and hospital is highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated.
For a fee, the college offers separate dorm and meal facilities for male and female students.
The Deoband Unani Medical College Hospital & Research Centre boasts a large campus with an abundance of trees and expansive lawns, creating a serene environment for patient care and study. The hospital and college both have natural light and fresh air in every room.
The Deoband Unani Medical College Hospital & Research Center is situated on the Meerut-Muzaffarnagar-Deoband route, 150 kilometers from Delhi. The institution is located in Deoband, next to Talheri Chungi, on the Karanjali Road. In Deoband, there are bus and train transportation options.
Since 1991, seven batches of B.U.M.S. degree students have graduated from the university. In accordance with the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi curriculum, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur, has conferred degrees in Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery. To ensure the wellbeing of the pupils, all necessary preparations have been made in a result-oriented manner.
