About College
The hospital and college buildings make up the institutional campus, which spans five acres and is perfectly situated with a variety of amenities. These include a lush, green atmosphere, fully furnished and computerized outpatient and inpatient departments, a well-equipped operation theatre, spacious inpatient wards, an upgraded pathological laboratory, an X-ray plant, fully ventilated and spacious classrooms that can accommodate over 100 students, an auditorium that can accommodate 200 people, hygienic, well-furnished, and fully ventilated anatomy and physiology labs, qualified teaching faculty with extensive teaching experience, and a spacious and digitalized library with two thousand books exclusively for the use of the campus.
The idea for this college’s founding has been in the works for a long time because the five and a half-year Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS) is the only professional course in all of India where the underprivileged, particularly those who studied Urdu in their 10+2 biological science course, have a chance to become doctors, gazetted officers, and members of the community with respect and stability.
The country’s first Unani Medical College was established under the private sector because it was desperately needed. With 100 seats available, it is a model college where students will not only receive the best training in Unani medicine but also receive extensive training in modern medicine and research orientation to keep up with the latest scientific discoveries.
