About College
A private college called Akila Thiruvithamcore Siddha Vaidya Samgam Siddha Maruthuva Kalloory & Hospital was founded in 1997 in Kanyakumari. The college is connected to Chennai’s Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, which accepts 40 students annually.
AREA OF AVAILABILITY
Hostel: On campus, there are separate hostels for boys and girls. There are large rooms with excellent ventilation and private baths available. There are sports facilities and a playground accessible. The students residing in the hostel are expected to maintain strict discipline. Students’ health and safety are appropriately attended to RO system-provided purified drinking water is offered.
Canteen: A canteen operates on a contractual basis on the college grounds. Students staying in the hostel are given access to cooked and hygienic meals. For day scholars, faculty, and visitors to the college and hospital, food, tea, and snacks are also provided.
Transportation: Buses from Marthandam to Thegapattanam via Munchirai run often, and these buses can take you to the college. Additionally, College maintains a bus that travels everyday via the Trivandrum national highway between Nagercoil and College.This facility is available to staff members and students.
Library: The college has a central library with 4313 books in its collection. This contains a sizable library of about 3052 Siddha Books written by different writers, including well-known Siddhars.There are also a good number of rare Palm Manuscripts (Olai Suvadigal) available in a collection of (216).There are 487 contemporary textbooks on other topics as well. There are six subscription medical journals. To make it easier for students to utilize the library after college hours, it is open until six o’clock in the evening. There are separate reading rooms for faculty and students.
