Sonajirao Kshirsagar Homeopathic Medical College, Adarsh Shikshan Sanstha, Beed, is a private college that was founded in 1986. With 187 seats available each year, the college is associated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, which is situated in Maharashtra.
With permission from the Central Council of Homoeopathy New Delhi, Letter No. 12-9/86/CCH/1533-dated 06/08/1986, and the Government of Maharashtra, Medical Education and Drugs, Dept. Bombay, Resolution No. HED/1085/4493/MED -7, dated June 21, 1986, the Sanstha launched a B.H.M.S. degree program in June 1986.
The college first offered courses leading to the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) degree and was associated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. However, in 1998, the health sciences department was moved and merged with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
The Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi, recommends and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, Government of India, accept the B.H.M.S. degree program as a uniform program in homoeopathic medicine.
In the center of the city, the college has a dedicated building. There are three distinct buildings available for the college, hospital, and library. Buildings at the hospital and college have three floors. Within the same facility, the hospital offers facilities for auto analysis, endoscopy, 500 m A X-ray, physiotherapy, yoga rehabilitation, and laboratory for pathological investigations.
The attached hospital has 42 beds for students studying seven postgraduate subjects (M.D. Hom.) and 25 + 1 (extra) beds for BHMS students (100 intake). There are 67 beds total, according to the MSR-2013. In order to obtain clinical experience, the college has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with reputable, well-equipped modern medical hospitals, such as the Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Hospital, and Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.
