About College
The Department of Health, Education & Family Welfare, Government of Jharkhand, created the Government Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital Paraspani, Godda, vide Notification No. 60(3) dated March 31, 2002. It is Jharkhand’s only government homeopathic medical college and hospital, founded by the state government in accordance with Central Council of Homeopathy, New Delhi, guidelines. The Jharkhand government now owns eighteen acres of land at Paraspani, some twenty kilometers from Godda town, for the construction of hospital and college structures. The college has a 50 seat intake capacity and is associated with Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh Session 2009-2010.
On September 23, 2002, First Honorable Chief Minister of State Shri Babu Lal Marandi lay the foundation stone for the college building. The honorable Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Arjun Munda, officially opened the college on February 28, 2004. The Honorable Education Minister, Shri P.N. Singh, the Vice Chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh, Shri Dilip Prasad, Chairman of the J.P.S.C., Dr. Amreshwar Prasad, Founder Principal of the Govt. Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Godda, Former M.P., Shri Pradeep Yadav, and other dignitaries were present at the inaugural ceremony.
The first level is home to the college library. Journals were being subscribed to in 2002. We have now increased the journal’s number. There are 6198 books in the library overall.
